Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has the requirement for Laundry Services at the National Animal Disease Center, at Ames, IA for the period October 1, 1997 thru September 30, 1998 with four (4) one-year renewable option periods. The work includes, but is not limited to: Laundry pick up and delivery on a daily basis. Laundry to be laundered, dried, and finished with a last rinse solution to reduce static cling. The type of items to be laundered are: lab coats, smocks, uniforms, trousers, shirts, scrub tops and bottoms, surgical gowns, bedspreads, blankets etc. The successful offeror's laundry facilities must be within a fifty (50) mile radius of the National Animal Disease Center. This solicitation will be issued as a Commercial Items Invitation for Bid in accordance with FAR Part 12. The Service Contract Act applies to this acquisition. This acquisition is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses. The Standard Industrial Classification that applies is 7389 with a size standard of $5.0M.
