Pre-Solicitation Notice. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, approved materials and equipment for the replacement of some of the existing overhead 4.16kv electrical distribution system. The replacement shall be a new underground 12.47 kv system which shall include all requisite components including transformers, switchboards, switches, pads, cables, duct banks, manholes and handholes as necessary for a complete functional system. Demolition of the existing overhead 4.16kv system shall include pad- or pole- mounted transformers, switches, C.T.'s, P.T.'s, wattmeters, crossarms, panels, insulators, hardware, overhead and underground cables and power poles. The project shall also include necessary dewatering in the indicated areas of the new underground duct banks. SIC Code is 1623, "Water, Sewer, Pipeline, and Communications and Power Line Construction". Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Contract completion time is tentatively 365 calendar days. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 2:00 P.M. PST, August 6, 1997 at Building 22101, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from whcih payment for contract purposes can be made.
