This is a synopsis for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Request for the solicitation are being requested and a written solicitaition will be issued. The solicitation, number NHLBI-RR-P-97-113, is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). The solicitation will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 90-46. Item to be acquired: Quantity One (1) TUNNEL WASHER INCLUDING; -- Tunnel Size Shall Be Approximately 48 (Forty-Eight) Inches [1.22m] Wide (Conveyor Belt Width, Usable Space) By Minimum Of 25 (Twenty-Five) Inches [.64m] High (Distances From Conveyor Belt To Jet Manifolds) By 180 Inches [4.57m] Long (Machine Without Roll-Bar Table On Discharge End) Shall Have An Unloading Table At The Clean End. Shall Be A Variable Speed Conveyor Type Washer. The Contractor shall furnish with their proposal, rough-in drawings of the tunnel washer illustrating overall dimensions, utility requirements including locations and location of washer at installation site. The Contractor shall submit for review and final approval two (2) complete sets of shop drawings prior to beginning assembly of the equipment. 1). Removal Of Existing Government-Owned Steam Sterilizer: 2). Installation Of Tunnel Washer: 3). Installation Of Exhaust Fan, Electronic Damper & Accessories Provide existing product literature, owner's manual with maintenance procedures as part of the proposal. The TUNNEL WASHER must have a minimum service life of ten (10) years, must be provided in support of the item offered. Delivery shall be no later than 150 days (desired) or 180 days (required) after contract award. Deliver Free On Board (FOB) Point: DESTINATION. SIC Code is 3569. The solicitation will be made available fifteen (15) days from the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) Publication Date. During the Inspection, questions, concerning the local conditions and problems that may arise will be discussed. However, nothing done or said during the inspection shall be considered as altering, modifying or qualifying any contract resulting from this RFQ unless such changeis made in writing by the Contracting Officer. The proposed installation site surrounding area will be available for inspection on WEDNESDAY JULY 16, 1997 10:00 O'CLOCK A.M. at Building #14-G Conference Room, at the NIH, Bethesda, Maryland 20892.
