59 -- AMENDED ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SOURCES SOUGHT FOR OVERHAUL AND REPAIR (O&R) OF TRAVELING WAVE TUBE FOR AN/TPQ-37 DUE 062397 POC Peter R. This is a market survey to locate additional sources for overhaul and repair (O&R) of the Communication and Power Industry (CPI) Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) P/N VTR-5720, NSN 5960-01-270-3938, P/O AN/TPQ-37. We intend to place a five year contract to O&R approximately ten (10) per year. The current source for O&R is (CPI). Detailed technical data for the O&R of these units are not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of performing O&R on these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USACECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-C-CF, Building 1201E, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, O&R the ARMY TWT's. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily performwhen used for the purpose intended by the Army. For more information contact Peter R.
