Fitch, Contracting Officer 708-786-5174 NOTE: THIS IS A RE-ADVERTISMENT OF A SUBMISSION (071614) THAT APPEARED ON THE INTERNET DURING THE WEEK OF MAY 12TH 1997: See Note: #24 Architectural and Engineering services required for the relocation of the Service and Reclamation Unit from Building 20, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines VA Hospital in Hines Il., to Building 37 of the Department of Veterans Affairs, National Acquisition Center in Hines Il. (Hines Il. is located approximately 13 miles west of downtown Chicago). Services shall include, but are not limited to provide the design of the project, the construction specifications and drawings and construction period services. The scope of the work includes, but is not limited to converting approximately 3,500 square feet of existing ground level warehouse space into a Biomedical Equipment repair shop environment. Steel partitioning and drywall covering will be required throughout. No exterior wall penetrations are anticipated. Design shall reflect approximately 5,500 square feet of light commerical type office space within the existing interior warehouse space. Design shall include additional warehouse space remodeling, utility upgrades including added electrical convenience systems. Design shall also include minor wall finish demolition, removal of obsolete sliding fire doors, minor concrete slab cutting, miscellaneous mechanical and sprinkler system modifications. All interested and qualifed A/E firms located within a 100 mile radius of Hines Illinois are invited to submit their 254's and 255's no later than July 11, 1997. This is not a request for proposals.
