The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks a contractor to provide local courier services. The contractor will provide both routine and on-call pick up and delivery services for Agency offices. The pickup and delivery points will all be within the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. The contractor must be bonded to insure USAID against financial loss. All courier services must be provided using closed weather-proof vehicles. Bicycle or motorcycle service is not acceptable. Contractor employees must be able to pass security clearances that will gain access into controlled Federal buildings. The contractor must have an office and personnel located within the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Companies wihout such offices and personnel are requested not to reply. It is estimated that an RFQ will be issued on or about June 30, 1997 with a closing date of July 18, 1997. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format).
