LeFevre, Contracting Officer, (407) 494-9941 Provide all labor, material, and equipment required to renovate a portion of an existing building and provide for three (3) clean rooms, associated office and processing laboratory areas. Work to include the construction of a 1800 SF finished area on the ground floor of Building 989, C Section. Facility will include three (3) each Class 100 Clean Rooms approximately 100 SF with air shower entry. Rooms shall include a viewing window for each area, utilities, HVAC and dedicated air handlers with HEPA filtering for clean rooms. A cleaning area shall be provided with sink and plumbing connections. Lighting and fire alarm system shall be provided for the area. Fire alarm shall be connected to existing building system. Existing overhead chilled water piping shall be rerouted above roof to clear the "new construction" areas. Project includes construction of a concrete block wall partition between existing Central Plant Area and the new Clean Rooms. Lead paint and asbestos abatement are included in the project. Period of performance is 300 calendar days after Notice to Proceed is issued. Solicitation issue date of 8 Jul 97 and bid opening date of 8 Aug 97 are tentative. The applicable SIC Code and size standard for this acquisition are 1541/$17.0M. The estimated range of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation is unrestricted.
