The Air Force has developed internally a replacement anti-skid/brake control box for the F-16 aircraft. Vendors have been qualified for this "build to print" requirement IAW a Source Qualification Statement (SQS). The competition is expanded to consider "off the shelf" alternate design proposals from vendors with established anti-skid/brake control designs (non- developmental) which will have to meet qualification and performance requirements IAW a "alternate proposal" Source Qualification Statement (SQS). This requirement includes, but is not limited to, system electrical/mechanical interface, braking performance, built in test (BIT) capability, and safety of flight and production qualification testing. These SQSs are included in the RFP. A pre-proposal conference will be held at OO-ALC/LIKW, BLDG 1215 CONFERENCE ROOM, HILL AIR FORCE BASE, UT 84056, on 24 Jun 1997 for "build to print" offerors, and on 25 Jun 1997 for alternate proposal offerors.
