for stations 3 and 7 for F-16D model aircraft. The USAF is conducting
a market survey for suitable vendors who produce, or can produce a
pylon suitable for installation on the F-16 which is capable of
internally housing the AAR-57 Missile Warning System while retaining
the current certification for stores pylon. Control of the AAR-57 must
be through existing or planned cockpit equipment, specifically the
ALQ-213 Electronic Wartime Management System, It is desirable that no
aircraft modifications are required to host the pylon. Minimal Group A
modifications will be considered. Priority will be given to vendors
who have currently available, off-the shelf hardware which is
non-developmental in nature and is currently certified on F-16
aircraft. Pylon must be capable of interfacing with mil standard 1553B
multiplex bus. Pylon description, technical drawings and cost are
required NLT 14 JUL 97. All responsible vendors must be able to provide
2 (two) pylons for integration testing by 1 JUL 98. Submit data to
