Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL, macrook@max1.au.af.mil. The Air
Force Legal Services Agency which is located at Maxwell AFB, AL is
seeking possible sources for ADP equipment furniture. The following ADP
equipment is housed in the Computer and Data Tape Storage rooms: (a)
Sun 630 MT with 1 ea mini tower; (b) Sun 1000 with 5 ft disk tower and
a mini tower attached (includes console); (c) 8-Track Tape Drive; (d)
Sun Ultra Enterprise II with mini tower (includes keyboard and
monitor); (e) 8 mm Cartridge Stacker (Juke Box); (f) 3 External 8mm
Tape Drives; (g) 1 External 4mm Tape Drive; (h) Servers -- 8 ea (also
includes 8 keyboards and 8 monitors); (i) Tape Storage for
approximately 3,000 8mm tapes, 2,000 4mm tapes, and 100 8 track tapes;
(j) 5 Workstations (includes 5 CPUs, 5 monitors, and 5 keyboards); (k)
3 laser printers; (l) 1 Modem/Router Rack. Shelving is also required
which will be vertically adjustable and designed to specifically
accommodate all ADP equipment listed herein. The furniture must provide
the most efficient use of available space and facilitate the required
monitoring and maintenance of these systems. A floor plan is available
indicating the dimensions of the computer room and the adjoining data
tape storage room. After the review of the literature and an
evaluation of the proposed furniture, a site visit will be required to
assess the need and confirm that the recommended design layout will
accommodate the need of this agency. Those firms who are interested in
being considered in this market survey or as a source for this
acquisition must submit literature describing their capabilities. Firms
must indicate the size and type of their business. Documentation should
provide sufficient detail to enable our technical personnel to perform
an evaluation. The documentation shall include prices, GSA Contract
Number (if applicable), and descriptive literature containing
sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability
to meet this requirement. Only written responses will be considered.
All pertinent information shall be receivedin this office within 15
days after publication of this notice . As a result of analyzing
responses to this sources sought synopsis, the contracting officer may
determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is
issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation
will be issued to all firms that respond to this synopsis or request a
copy of the solicitation. Verbal communications will not be
considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully
considered. Your interest in this announcement is strictly voluntary.
