notice is for informational purposes only. Notice of intent to
negotiate a sole-source purchase with the University of Cincinnati to
develope a automated system which can acquire images from NTA films,
process the images automatically, and accurately and consistently count
the neutron tracks from the films. The software developed must take
user inputs, adjust to those inputs, process the NTA films in a
eficient manner and store both the images, and the resulting analysis
data, in a database on disk, such that the output can be used by other
analytical programs, such as SAS tm or an electronic spreadsheet. The
project will be broken down into seven tasks. 1. Final track
recognition algorithm, 2. Automatic stage control programs, 3.
Integrated track count and image analysis programs, 4. user interface
and data storage programs (complete system), 5. Modified system,
initially debugged, 6. Final system, thoroughly tested and debugged, 7.
Programmer's guide and all system documentation. This is a simplified
acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000. (0164) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0007 19970617\B-0002.SOL)
