Written quotations will be required. The RFQ will be issued on or about
14 July 1997. Anticipated award date is on or about 19 September 1997.
Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform
homepier dockside repairs including, but not limited to, the following
Minimum Items: 1) Renew Weathertight Doors. 2) Renew Firemain
Strainers. 3) Upgrade Fire Pump In Machinery Auxiliary Room. 4)
Overhaul Electrical Exhaust and Supply Fan Motors. 5) Renew Vent Piping
in Several Locations. 6) Overhaul A/C Unit and Renew Associated Piping
System. 7) Inspect, Overhaul, and Test Small Boat Hoist. 8) Overhaul
Warping Capstan Assembly. Vessel availability schedule is 20 October
1997 for 21 days. The place of performance will be at the vessel's
homepier in Miami Beach, Florida. All referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA.
The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 14 July 1997. All responsible sources may submit a
bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. This

(DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU)
has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance
for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
