J -- PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE FOR BRUKER MSL-300 AND UNITY +400 NMR SPECTROMETERS, CONSOLES AND MAGNETS, AND A VARIAN GEMINI 400 MAGNET SOL 15-3615-97 DUE 072097 POC Eileen LeGates, Administrative Contracting Officer, Lisa M. Botella, Point of Contact (215) 233-6551, fax (215) 233-6558 The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) requires preventatie maintenance and emergency repair services for the following Goverment-owned equipment: Burker MSL-300 NMR Spectrometer, console, and magnet; Unity +400 NMR Spectrometer, console, and magnet; and a Varian Gemini 200 MHZ magnet. Services shall include two (2) preventative maintenance visits per year (FY-98) to insure that all of the equipment is functioning properly and to make any required minor repairs. Services and repairs shall be provided on an as needed basis within 48 hours. The Contractor shall provide maintenance, service, repairs and replacement parts for all modules and subassemblies contained in the main console and/or peripheral equipment rack. Items included but not limited to are: SUN Sparc Station, disk drives, CRT terminals, keyboards, SCM power supplies, printers, graphic plotters, frequency synthesizers, preamplifiers, Cryogen level control units, receiver and transmitter modules, and all associated interconnections, printed circuit boards, cables and wiring harnesses. The contractor shall provide maintenance service, repairs and replacement parts on magnetic windings, shims, power supply and related electronics, and cooling components of the three superconducting magnets. Service engineers provided shall be trainined by the instrument manufacturer to perform repairs on the spectrometers. This procurment is 100% set-aside for Small Business. The period of performance shall be from October 1, 1997, with four (4) additional renewal periods of one (1) year for each duration. The solicitation will be available on or about July 8, 1997.
