S -- WINDOW CLEANING, SAN FRANCISCO VA MEDICAL CENTER SOL 662-56-97 DUE 070797 POC Doug Hargrove, 415/750-2066 The VA Medical Center of San Francisco requires the bi-monthly (6 times per year) cleaning of windows at its site at 4150 Clement Street in San Francisco, California. The anticipated firm fixed price contract is will be for one base year and four option years subject to availability of funds. Work consists of cleaning both the inside and outside of most windows of medical, office, hospital, nursing home, and residential buildings, including the outside frame and window well. Few windows are equipped with outer screens which must be removed by contractor prior to window cleaning and re-attached at completion. Potential bidders are strongly encouraged to examine the site prior to bid preparation; most buildings are multi-story. Although there will be no formal site visit, failure to be aware of the quantity or complexity of work will not be an excuse for failure to perform for a firm fixed price. This procurement is issued subject to FAR Part 12 for the acquisition of commercial items, and is 100% set-aside for small business. SIC Code 7349 applies.
