932-1700 ext. 50 INVITATION TO BID: Delivery of a National Educational
Program entitled Introduction to Metropolitan Transportation Planning
for professionals covering the metropolitan transportation planning
and programming process. The Request for Proposals (RFP) calls for
delivery of a short course on the metropolitan planning process for
professionals engaged in the process at a variety of agencies. The
course, developed by NTI and previously presented nationwide, clearly
explains the planning process, process components, the process
participants, and their respective roles and responsibilities. The
course will be presented by a teaching team consisting of two
instructors, one with extensive experience in transportation planning
and the other with extensive experience in transportation engineering.
A course manual already exists. Minor modifications are required prior
to the first course delivery to adjust the course from the previous
length of 2 days to the desired length of 2 days. The contract period
will be twoyears with up to 25 (twenty-five) course deliveries and an
option, at NTI's sole discretion, to extend the contract to one year
which may increase course deliveries up to a total of 35 (thirty-five).

organization letterhead to the National Transit Institute at the above
address. Faxed requests will be accepted at (732) 932-1707; telephone
requests are not acceptable. All proposers MUST request an original
RFP in order to be eligible to submit a proposal. Requests must be
received by June 27, 1997. RFPs will be mailed by first class surface
mail no later than July 1 with proposals due July 18. RFPs will not be
faxed. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are strongly encouraged to
