of a 200 Square Meter addition to the existing child development cente
at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, TX; providing classrooms and
bathrooms. Construction shall be brick and concrete with a built up
roof. Fire protection and a TV surveillance system. Bid Option One (1)
shall be to partially renovate the existing 624 SM facility, including
remediation of lead based paint and asbestos; improving the kitchen,
bathrooms, and reception areas. Bid Option Two (2) shall be to replace
the existing built up roof. ESTIMATED VALUE: $500,000 -$1,000,000. The
plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-Rom) and
will be provided free of charge. Plans and Specifications will not be
provided in a printed paper hard copy format. Notification of
Amendments shall be made through either 3.5" floppy disk, CD ROM,
and/or the INTERNET. The Government intends to issue this solicitation
through the use of CD ROM and the INTERNET. However, the Government
reserves the right to use only the INTERNET as notification of any
changes to this solicitation. Contractors may view and/or download this

Solicitation to be advertised on or about 17 Jul 97. Bid opening on or
about 21 Aug 97. Duration of contract is approximately 548 days. If a
Large Business is selected for this announcement, it must comply with
FAR 52.219-9 clause requirement for a subcontracting plan. The Fort
Worth District's subcontracting goal is for 55.0% to total
subcontracted dollars to Small businesses; 8.5% to Small Disadvantaged
Businesses; 3.0% to Women Owned Small Business; and 5.5 to HBCU/MI
