Z -- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE -- CONSTRUCT COMMAND POST, WASHINGTON AIR NATIONAL GUARD STATION, FAIRCHILD AFB, WA SOL DAHA45-97-B-0002 POC Joanie Dobesh, Contracting Officer, 253/512-8311; Major Robert Aunan, Project Officer, 509-247-7352 Furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, tools and other items required to construct a new Command Post within an already existing facility. The project shall be constructed to current military standards for security and emergency power. Elements include but are not limited to the following: demolition and/or removal of existing light fixtures, HVAC components and ducting, cabinets, flooring, doors, and walls; installation of new HVAC components and ducting; installation of various types of doors, walls, partitions, flooring and suspended acoustic ceilings; installation of cipher locks and various other electronic security items; removal, and replacement of electrical wiring including connections to a back-up electrical system; and the installation of a control console. Much of the flooring will be raised accesscomputer access flooring. This procurement will be solicited as Unrestricted with the Evaluation Preference included for Small Disadvantaged Businesses. Estimated cost of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. Time of completion is 90 calandar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be available on or about 16 July 1997. The Bid Opening will be on or about 15 August 1997. These dates will be set in the synopsis that will follow this pre-solicitation notice. A non-refundable check for $25.00 must accompany the written request for the solicitation/drawings and specifications. Make the check out to DFAS-SB. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 1542. The small business size standard is $17 million.
