Z -- CHILLER REPLACEMENT RETROFIT SOL IFB: 533-3-97 DUE 080797 POC Contact Point, Renate Rainboth, Contracting Officer, 914-737-4400 ext. 2468 Furnish all labor, materials, tools and supervision necessary for Project No. 533-96-107 at the VA Medical Center, Castle Point, NY. Work will include, but not be limited to retrofit two existing compression type chillers to utilize environmentally friendly refrigerants. Replace two associated cooling towers that contain asbestos insulation with two new cooling towers. Modify condenser water piping to separate the operation of the two compression chillers and an existing steam absorption chiller. Modify the cooling tower dunnage, installation of and modifying existing control systems, electrical systems, and all associated piping. All work shall be in accordance with project drawings, specifications, national, local and applicable codes as per requirements of all governing agencies. Construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A limited number of bid packages will be available on or about July 3, 1997 and will be issued on a first come, first serve basis until supply is exhausted.
