The Central alarm system shall provide crafts operator and crew with a fully intergrated system of constant supervisory monitoring and alarm. The central alarm system shall be designed for shipboard use and have a proven shipboard performance period of at least one year. The following circuits will comprise the alarm system: flood detection, fire and smoke detection, propulsion engines, ship service diesel engine, hydraulic steering unit, hydraulic power unit, and reduction/reversing gears. The central alarm panel shall be capable of operating two, contractor furnished, remote annunciators. In addition, the central alarm panel shall be capable of operating a loudhailer external alarm while in port. This will be a requirements type contract with an estimated quantity for the base year and all option years of 6 shipsets per year.
