532-3038 DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- The work includes the repair,
replacement, and alterations to a one-story pre-fabricated metal
warehouse structure. The contractor will be responsible for the removal
and replacement of exterior finish materials with new insulated metal
panel, structural frame roof and wall systems and trim, alignment and
repairs, and removal of existing welded steel mezzanine system. In
addition, the contractor is to perform the construction of building
vestibule including structural steel frame and concrete foundations and
slab. The project includes interior tenant improvements consisting of
metal stud and gypsum board partition walls, suspended acoustical
ceilings, carpet, wall finishes, new heating and ventilating systems,
electrical power and lighting, communications and fire protection
systems, and incidental related work. -- The estimated cost is between
$250,000 and $500,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract
duration is approximately 150 calendar days. -- Proposalswill be
considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is
unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1541 and the annual
size standard is $17 million. It is recommended the subcontracting
goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business
Subcontracting effort. -- NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to
firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. A fee will be
charged for all plans and specs. Please call 619-532-2082 for the price

from Plan Issue or by mail. -- Telephone requests will not be accepted.
-- Requests for the solicitation package must be in writing stating
solicitation number N68711-97-R-8323, complete name, address, area code

of payment that will be accepted for plans and specifications are Visa,
Mastercard, cashiers checks or money orders and they should be made out
to DEFENSE PRINTING SERVICE. -- Fees are not refundable. -- If you
choose to pay by cashiers check or money order, please submit one (1)
cashiers check or money order per project. -- Solicitation packages are
limited to two (2) sets per prime and one (1) per
subcontractor/supplier. -- Plans and specifications will be available
