Kendrick, Contracting Officer, (540) 983-1048 The VA Medical Center, Salem, Virginia, plans to issue a solicitation for IFB 658-28-97 to completely renovate existing Room No. 8 of our Radiology Suite, Building 2A, to accommodate a new Government-furnished and installed X-ray System. Work includes asbestos floor tile/mastic abatement; wall and ceiling demolition; modifications to the mechanical, plumbing & electrical services; leaded wall alterations; wall & ceiling equipment support systems; and new floor, wall & ceiling finishes. Construction cost estimate: $25,000 -- $100,000. All work shall be completed within seventy-five (75) calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. All bids shall allow a sixty (60) calendar day acceptance period.
