This excavation project requires increasing the height of an earth berm shooting range backstop by 7' and the removal of lead projectiles to 4' depth from the impact area in two phases, the Pistol Range and Rifle Range, at the United States Air Force Academy, CO, 80840. Performance period includes 28 calendar days for administrative matters and 90 calendar days for on site construction, for a total of 118 calendar days. The estimated cost range of the proposed acquisition is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Solicitation will be available on or about 10 July 1997, in CD ROM ONLY. Funds are not presently available for this project. It is our intent to award this contract prior to 30 Sep 97 if fiscal year (FY) 1997 funds become available. Otherwise, actual award of the contract will occur when FY 1998 funds become available, or a continuing federal budget resolution is passed by Congress, but not later than 29 Nov 97. This is an unrestricted solicitation in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and will include the procedures for Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns -- Construction Test Program.. Women-owned and small disadvantaged business concerns are encouraged to submit offers.
