Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement for the
acquisition of three types of automated fingerprint identification
systems. Installation, remedial and preventive maintenance, and
training shall also be provided. -- Various Quantities -- Multiple,
firm fixed price type contracts are anticipated. -- The acquisition of
these systems will allow DEA to access evidential information from
Federal, state and local data bases. In order to access this
information, these systems must be compatible with, and comparable to
either the NEC AFIS21 NT Workstation, the Printrak Latent Station 2000,
or the Morpho FLEX SCAN Latent Entry Workstation (with remote
communication). This information will increase DEA's ability to solve
cases through the identification of fingerprints developed on evidence
processed in the laboratory, and evidence recovered and processed at
crime scenes. The Goernment anticipates sole source awards to NEC
Technologies, Inc. in Washington, D. C., North American MorphoSystems
in Tacoma, Washington, and Printrak International, Inc. in Anaheim,
California, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. -- Any firms desiring
consideration must fully identify their capabilities to perform the
mandatory requirements addressed herein in writing and submit to the
POC identified above within 15 days of the CBD notice date. SIC Code
