16 -- TWO RF DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS SOL N68335-97-R-0276 DUE 073097 POC Ms. Dawn Chartier Contract Specialist Code 25213, (732) 323-2933. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with RF Products Inc., Camden, NJ, to procure two (2) RF Distribution Systems. These systems are to be used to upgrade the communications capabilities of specially configurated P-3 aircraft. The systems being acquired include RF Products P/N 800225 UHF Switched Output Multicoupler; P/N 800425 RF Distribution Assembly; and P/N 800A20, Frequency Processing Group. The Government does not own data, drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. The RF Products items are the only known existing in-production systems which can meet the aircraft installation need date with a low risk approach based on proven components requiring little integration. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
