The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD has a requirement for materials and services necessary to repair, modify, overhaul, prototype, retrofit, test, calibrate, restore, and/or return to ready-to-use condition AN/APX-100(V) Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Transponders. The delivery schedule for the required materials and services shall be negotiated for each individual order. Activities from each branch of the Department of Defense are authorized to use this Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA). In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other Supplies or Services will satisfy the agency requirements. AlliedSignal, Inc. Communication Systems is the sole designer, developer, and currently the only qualified manufacturer of the AN/APX-100(V) IFF Transponder and as such has the requisite knowledge to fulfill the requirement. Therefore, this acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with AlliedSignal, Inc., Communication Systems, 1300 East Joppa Road, Towson, MD 21286-5999. It is anticipated that a BOA with a three (3) year ordering period will be issued to AlliedSignal Inc. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
