Contractor shall supply voltage control oscillator, 25.5 MHZ, 9v, SMT, Model X03022C, 315 each. It is intended to award this contract to Piezo Technology, Inc., Orlando Florida. The remote Activation Munition system (RAMS) is being developed by the Army Research Labs for program manager mines countermines demolition (PM-MCD). This voltage control Oscillator (VAO) is a critical component of this system. Model X0302C has been used since the inception of the program. Use of another VCO would invalidate much of the data taken to date required for Type Classification and acceptance of the RAMS. The cost to validate another VCO would far exceed the cost of the components themselves and would significantly increase the program to the government.
