The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking sources who can
provide Commercial-Off-The-Shelf software which provides an audit
system function that supports all automation activities associated with
administering the agency's title XVI and title II programs. The
software should provide the following: 1) Capture on-line transactions
in a high volume environment (approximately 10-20 million transactions
per day) from multiple programmatic applications; 2) Provide automatic
capture of data received from input sources on a real-time basis
without impacting source system response time; 3) Maintain detailed
information by transaction and account; 4) Control, record and maintain
a transaction history of all events; 5) Provide the ability to
translate input screen data into meaningful audit events; 6) Provide
the ability to match input transaction data with programmatic results;
7) Provide the capability of screening input transactions against
predetermined selection criteria to identify transactions meeting the
criteria; 8) Process and correlate data from various sources such as
personnel system programs as well as from programmatic sources and data
stores; 9) Provide the ability to store millions of records to allow
for required matching and screening operations; 10) Provide users with
selected programmatic data related to targeted transactions or
combination of transactions identified in the screening process; 11)
Provide a file structure that allows multiple keys to the transaction
data; 12) Provide on-line query capability to personnel assigned audit
responsibility; 13) Provide flexible end user parametric reporting
capabilities on demand; 14) Accommodate additional user requirements,
systems enhancements or policy changes without large scale conversions.
Interested GSA schedule and non-schedule vendors who can furnish the
required software and support are invited to submit in writing (NO
FAXES) a substantial statement clearly demonstrating that the
capability of the product offeredmeets the referenced requirements.
Responses to this announcement must clearly state, and be substantiated
by the submission of technical literature and other applicable
descriptive literature, attesting to the ability to provide the
required software and support. If any products and/or support are
covered by a GSA Schedule contract, a copy of the contract, and/or the
GSA Schedule number should be provided. Any questions or
clarifications concerning this announcement and the requirements herein
must be submitted in writing. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP),
and the Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited
or received. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION and is considered to be
Market Research. Respondents will not be notified of the results of
any evaluation of the source data received. Requests for copies of a
solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Interested parties
must respond to this notice in writing within 15 calendar days from the
