The Navy intends to negotiate a one year extension to an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00421-94-G-0150 with Sunstrand Electric Power Systems of Rockford, Illinois. The BOA extension will provide for the repair, modification, malfunction analysis, test and evaluation, and field service support of Sunstrand electric power equipment components contained in Navy aircraft. These components consist of generators, constant speed drives, generator control units, inverters, and current transformers. The BOA will be negotiated on a sole source basis due to the proprietary nature of the data needed to perform the required services and is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
