S -- SEWING SERVICES FOR THE TENNESSEE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD IN NASHVILLE, TN SOL DAHA40-97-R-0005 POC Point of Contact -- Mrs Linda Merryman, Purchasing Agent, 615-313-2658, or LTC James L. Coonce, Contracting Officer, 615-313-2650 Provide sewing services for the Tennessee Army National Guard for the base period of 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998 with three (3) one (1) year option periods. The Tennessee Army National Guard has a requirement for Name Tapes, US Army Tapes and Unit Insignias to be sewn on various types of military uniforms. The requirement is for off-site services with the successful contractor picking up the uniforms in Nashville at the USPFO for Tennessee; taking them to his/her facility for sewing service and then returning them to the USPFO warehouse in Nasvhille, Tennessee. Both pick-up and delivery will occur on separate days within the same week. The physical location of the successful contractor and the location where the work will be performed shall be within 70 miles of Nashville, Tennessee. All required sewing will be accomplished in accordance with current Army uniform regulations with inspections made upon return receipt of uniforms. The turn-around time for sewing services shall be not more than seven (7) calendar days. Evaluation and award will be made based on Best Value to the Government. Evaluation factors will be established in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued no sooner than 15 days after this notice is published. Receipt for Request of Proposals (RFP) shall be on or about 30 days after the solicitation is issued. This requirement is set aside for small businesses. (0169)
