Plotkin, Phone (703)604-2119 On a sole source basis to Martin-Baker Aircraft (MBA) Company, LTD of Higher Denham, Middlesex, England, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure the Fiscal Year 1998 requirement for Naval Aircrew Common Ejection Seats (NACES) and related support rquirements. For Fiscal Year 1998, the Navy plans to procure approximately 83 NACES for the Navy's F/A-18 and T-45 aircraft and for F/A-18 aircraft for Finland plus associated spare and repair parts engineering, logistic support and technical data. Options for approximately 43 additional NACES will be included. MBA is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the NACES and is the only known source possessing the requisite experience, production capability and technical expertise capable of supporting fleet requirements within the limited time constraints of the Navy.
