Z -- MAINTENANCE,REPAIR, AND ALTERATION OF REAL PROPERTY SOL DE-FB65-97WJ33247 DUE 082197 POC Cheryl Smith (970) 490-7523 The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, equipment, and other resources necessary to complete the Casper-Glendo North and South 115-kV Transmission Line Structure Replacements. The work consists of removal and disposal of existing wood pole transmission line structures, providing new replacement structures, and replacing damaged insulators. Western will provide the replacement insulators. A total of 144, two and three-pole structures will be replaced. This project will be performed in Natrona, Converse, and Platte Counties, Wyoming. The estimated order of magnitude of this project is between $1M and $5M. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be issued in hard copy FREE OF CHARGE. NOTE: In accordance with Western's Acquisition Handbook, "Western procurement officials shall limit availability of solicitations." Therefore, only A LIMITED NUMBER of copies of this solicitation will be available to be distributed by this office. Copies of this solicitation will be issued on a "first-come, first-served basis". Additional copies of this solicitation will be available through various "plan holders rooms". All work for all of the Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) must be completed NLT within 335 calendar days. Western issues a "Notice to Proceed". All the CLINs will be delivery FOB destination. There will be only one award made from this solicitation. Therefore, all Bidders must submit their bids on an "all or none basis". This solicitation will be issued on or about July 21, 1997. The projected bid opening date is on or about August 21, 1997. This proposed procurement is unrestricted (full and open).
