The project is located within Whichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, in Comanche county Oklahoma, near Lawton, Oklahoma. The work includes but is not limited to clearing brush, ditch grading, installation of approximately 8,500 tons of type D hot mix asphalt leveling course, 46,100 SY of paving fabric, 16,300 tons of type B hot mix asphalt pavement driving course overlay, and 245,000 LF of paint stripe. The nearest batch plant is approximately 25 miles from the middle of the project. Bid, payment, and performance bonds are required. The estimated price range is between $1,000.000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This solicitation is not setaside for small business. The SIC is 1611 with size standard of $17.0. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible contractor who provides the the most advantageous price in consideration of price and price related factors. It is estimated that the solicitation will be available by July 14, 1997, and that evaluation of bids and award will be made by September 8, 1997.
