commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;, proposals
are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) number
DAAE30-97-Q-1273. This solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 90-38. The Standard Industrial Classification Number is 3821,
and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This acquisition will
be procured as a 100% Small Business Set Aside requirement.
DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide a cabinet oven in accordance
with the following requirements: 1) The cabinet oven shall operate on
an electrical source of 230 volts/3 phase/60 Hertz and be capable of
providing a working operating temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit to
250 degrees Fahrenheit with a maximum temperature of 350 degrees
Fahrenheit. The air circulation system shall provide air which flows
horizontally across the product. 2) The cabinet oven shall be
manufactured to the following nominal dimensions: Interior (Minimum) --
60" Height, 36" Width, 36" Depth -- Exterior (Maximum) -- 108" Height,
72" Width, 54" Depth. 3) The cabinet oven shall have a single door to
access the interior of the cabinet oven. The cabinet oven shall have
nine (9) shelf slides spaced six (6) inches apart. Four (4) shelves
shall be provided and have the capability of supporting a minimum of
150 pounds each. 4) The cabinet oven shall be equipped with a 24 hour
time clock which can turn the cabinet oven on or off automatically at
any time. 5) The cabinet oven shall be equipped with a high limit
thermostat shutoff switch and an airflow shutoff switch in the event of
main temperature controller failure or airflow circulation failure. 6)
The contractor shall provide one copy of all operating manuals,
maintenance manuals and any other pertinent documentation to operate
and maintain the cabinet oven. 7) The cabinet oven shall be designed
and constructed to NFPA, OSHA, and NEC standards. The cabinet oven
shall not contain asbestos. 8) The cabinet oven shall be delivered to
Building 810 at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. 9) The contractor shall
provide a description of the general construction of the cabinet oven
to include materials used, hardware, controls specifications,
electrical, safety features and any other relevant information that the
contractor deems necessary to include in the description. 10) The
contractor shall complete the above within seven (7) weeks after
receipt of purchase order. The Government will award a purchase order
resulting from this solicitation to the offeror whose offer conforms to
this solicitation, is the most advantageous to the Government, and the
lowest cost acceptable, responsible offer. Any resulting purchase
order will contain appropriate FAR and DOD FAR Supplement clauses (and
any implementations thereof) for commercial items. Two (2) complete
copies of each quote shall be sent to Mrs. Magda Szymanski,
AMSTA-AR-PC-H, Building 9, TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ
07806-5000 by 4:00pm ET, July 8, 1997. Telephone and/or written
requests are not necessary as this announcement constitutes the
technical requirement in full text. No other information will be
supplied. All quotations should be received by the date and time stated
