B -- GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES SOL DACW69-97-R-0012 DUE 062797 POC Janet Edwards, CONTRACT SPECIALIST 304-529-5641 This solicitation will be issued on 27 June 1997. The Huntington District Corps of Engineers intends to procure a contract for Limited Geotechnical with Drilling Services. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, supplies, and materials to determine the type, nature, characteristics, and present extent and condition of various materials located in the Huntington District. All responsive proposals shall be evaluated by utilizing the following factors: (1) Past Performance; (2) Technical knowledge and Experience of Personnel; (3) Ability of the Offeror to Provide the Required Physical Plant and Supplies; (4) Supervision and Administration; (5) Safety; (6) Quality Control; (7) Location of the Firm in the General Geographic Area; (8) Cost. Contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery type contract, competitively negotiated. Contract will be awarded for a base year with one option year. Award will be made as a whole to the offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and has been determined to be the most advantageous to the Government, all factors considered. Contractor will be required to provide one drilling rig to the work site within 24 hours of notification; two rigs within 72 hours of notification; and 6 rigs within a week of notification. (0171)
