Martin, Contracting Officer (205) 290-7493 The Department of Veteran's Affairs' Medical Care Cost Recovery Office (MCCR) is seeking sources to provide insurance carrier information on patient veterans. The MCCR Office can provide, at a minimum, name, address, social security number and last know phone number to be used to match against a the contractor's database of insurance carrier reference to determine if the individual has health insurance. This information will be transmitted to the contractor electronically on a weekly basis. It is our goal to transmit this data via EDI in the future but at present data would be transmitted through a secure electronic transmission vehicle like Health Level 7 (HL7), or similar. The electronic transmission vehicle should be or will provide MCCR with insurance information within five working days of receipt of the VA's transmission. In reponse to this sources sought, please provide information as to your firm's capability of providing this service to include history of previous work performed, pricing structure, and availability of a GSA contract.
