The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Tucson, AZ is currently seeking to identify sources located in Southern Arizona to furnish Stereotactic Radiosurgery. Services shall include:1) all CT, MRI or angiography necessary to determine the precise share and exact location of the target; 2) development of treatment plan in which multiple radiation beams are configured by computerized dosimetry to optimize the radiation intensity in the target while minimizing that to critical surrounding structures in the brain; and 3) treatment phase during which the dosimetry plan is executed with extraordinary accuracy (<=1mm) using a stereotactically-adapted linear accelerator. Workload totals amount to approximately 10 procedures per year.
