The project consists of furnishing manpower, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to design and construct a Cross Dock Expansion to the Dallas, Texas Bulk Mail Center, (2400 Dallas/Fort Worth Turnpike, Dallas, TX 75398-9210) of approximately 67,000 adjusted gross square feet. The completion date for the entire project shall be within 240 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range is between $3,500,000 and $4,000,000. Technical submittals will require evidence of (1) Experience; (2) Management Plan; (3) Financial Capability; and (4) Organization. Plans will be available June 24, 1997. Offers due July 31, 1997. A formal Preproposal Conference is scheduled for Monday, July 7, 1997, 1:00 p.m., in the PEDC Conference Room at the facility. Attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged. A plant walk-through will follow the conference. Firms other than the prequalified firms may purchase solicitation documents. The prequalified contractors have been furnished copies of the solicitation. The nonrefundable cost of the plans and specifications for this project is $150/set for Priority Mail service (2 to 3 days). For Express Mail (overnight) service $200/set.
