Z -- TELEPHONE SITE PREPARATION SOL 541-150-97 DUE 080797 POC Jeanelle Wright, Contracting Officer Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition, removal of existing structures, furnish labor, materials and perform iwork as required by the drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alteration, mechanical and electrical work and necessary removal of existing structures and construction throughout all buildings and includes but is not limited to: Selective demolition; Selective asbestos removal; The installation of conduit, risers, wiring and raceways for the preparation of the new telephone equipment. Installation of air conditioning equipment including remote condenser, refrigerent piping, ductwork, piping and insulation, connections, controls that regulate excessive humidity and miscellaneous accessories in the new frame room addition. Includes construction of all telephone closets and incoming telephone rooms. Install all necessary electrical connections and protective devices that will power the HVAC equipment. Penetrate all floors, ceilings, and walls and restore to original condition as necessary. Insure fire protection measures and ratings have been met with all new construction by sealing all wall and floor penetrations. Installation of speaker system to allow paging throughout the facility. Cross cut pavement and sidewalks where necessary and restore to original condition as needed. Installation of exterior manhole distribution system; Excavation and backfill; construction addition to the existing frame room, Building 1. Extension of existing fire suppression system (sprinklers). Cost Range: $2M-5M. This project is 100% 8(a) set-aside for firms eligible under SIC Code 1731 and are certified under the Cleveland District Small Business Administration Office. Solicitations will be issued on July 7, 1997, Site Visit is scheduled for July 21, 1997 with Bid Opening scheduled for August 7, 1997.
