Specialist, (401)736-1762 Contractor shall provide all labor,
materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary for new
pavement and site work at the USCG Communications Station, Otis ANGB,
MA (Barnstable County). Work includes the removal and disposal of an
existing 50' x 12' concrete slab, 300 sq. ft. of bituminous concrete
pavement and granular base material, 18-20 evergreen shrubs, existing
landscaping beds, a 2' x 21' concrete walkway and 2 small stone
walkways, a concrete saddle and various areas of clean fill. Another
work item includes clearing a 30' width along an existing electrical
power line of approx. 3,000 feet length. Provide approx. 780 sq. yards
of 2-1/2 inch thick bituminous concrete pavement with an 8" granular
base, 150 sq. ft. of concrete walkways, 90 sq. yards of crushed stone
on the floor of an existing storage shed, pavement markings, a concrete
block wing wakk, landscaping improvements and incidental related work.
OPTIONAL work item to remove and dispose of approx. 200 linear ft. of
1 inch diameter fuel oil supply and return lines and a 2 inch diameter
electrical conduit and providing a new fuel oil piping system which
includes 1 inch diameter fuel oil supply and return lines inside a
fiberglass reinforced plastic secondary containment pipe with a leak
detection and alarm system. Estimated cost of this project is between
$25,000 and $100,000. SIC code is 1611. Performance time is 90 calendar

This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS

and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist
minority,women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT
Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For
