The solicitation will be available to download from the web on July 8, 1997 using the internet address http://www.hud.gov/cts/ctsoprty.html or press the key referenced below. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is issuing a solicitation for the physical inspection of various (exceeding 40 in number) multifamily properties. They are located in Rhode Island, Oklahoma, California, Arizona, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Texas. HUD will award only one contract based on this solicitation. The contractor shall inspect 25% of the units to determine the living conditions of the tenants. In order to be determined to be responsible and eligable to receive the contract, bidders must have, or be able to acquire the necessary experience in physical inspections. Such experience is considered, but not limited to, construction inspectors working on muultifamily peoperties, building code inspectors, construction supervisors on multifamily properties, fee inspectors working on HUD projects, or have previous multifamily physical inspection contracts for HUD.
