The project consists of the design and construction of expanded facilities for the Frederick, Maryland, Processing & Distribution Facility, located at 1550 Tilco Drive, Frederick, Maryland. Included are design services, construction materials and labor requrec to expand the existing facility by approximately 50,000 square feet, along with associated site improvements, as described in the solicitation documents. The project also includes the design and renovation of approximately 4,000 square feet of space in the existing building. Technical submittals will require evidence of (1) Experience; (2) Management Plan; (3) Financial Capability; and (4) Organization. Plans will be available June 24, 1997. Offers due August 5, 1997. Performance time is 364 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range is between $3,500,000 and $4,200,000. A formal Preproposal Conference is scheduled for Friday, July 18, 1997, 10 a.m., at Holiday Inn Holidome & Conference Center, 5400 Holiday Drive, Frederick, Maryland.
