The work involves providing 3-HP Dust Collection system for an existing Carpentry Shop; improvements to an existing heating/ventilating system serving a building housing a swimming pool by addition of two intake and three exhuast fans and equip- ment modifications; abatement of asbestos containing material in the form of thermal insulation on pipes/joints/equipment, fan vibration isolators, fireproofing sheathing, transite boards, duct tape, caulking; and the installation of new replacement materials. The work is to be performed at the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center located in Morganfield, Kentucky. Construction time is scheduled for 168 calendar days to substantial completion. The estimated cost range for construction is between $100,000 to $250, 000. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee for duplication and handling is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A Pre-bid Walk-thru is scheduled for July 23, 1997, at 10:00 A.M. local time.
