Z -- REPLACE HVAC SYSTEM IN HANGAR 1002, PROJECT MHMV 971122, KIRTLAND AFB NM SOL F29650-97-B0020 DUE 081297 POC Tanya Schoon, Contract Specialist, 505/846-2646; Ed Castillo, Contracting Officer, 505/846-2992 This directorate intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) Number F29650-97-B0020 on or about 11 Jul 97 with a bid opening date on or about 12 Aug 97. The proposed procurement listed herein is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1711 with a size standard of $7.0M. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 with a performance period of 150 calendar days. The project will consist of a basic bid item with four option items. In general, the work for the basic bid item is for the replacement of the HVAC system on the first, second, and third floors of the lean-to and its attached island, and will include extensive replacement of the existing suspended acoustical ceilings for these areas when the HVAC systems are replaced. Option Item #1 allows for new acoustical glazing and frames to be provided on the south wall, second floor of the lean-to. Option Item #2 will provide for a complete interior renovation of the second floor of the lean-to and its attached island with many of the existing wall to be left in place. Option Item #3 allows for the replacement of the carpet on the second floor of the south lean-to and its attached island. Option Item #4 will allow for the DDC control system to be completely compatible with and connected to, the existing base-wide EMCS System. Please note that funds are not presently available, but have been requested. This IFB is based upon your understanding that (1) funds are not available and (2) if funds do not become available, no obligation will be incurred by the Government because of this IFB.
