Project is located on the Clearwater Ranger District, Idaho County, Idaho approximately 25.7 miles southeasterly of Grangeville, Idaho via S.H. 13 (1.1 miles) F.H. #17 (9.8 miles) S.H. #14 (8.2 miles) and F.D.R. #309 (6.6 miles) to junction of F.D.R. Road #9408 and beginning of project. Work on Road #244 is located approximately 19.2 miles northeasterly of Idaho via S.H. #13 (11.4 miles) and F.D.R. Road #244 (7.8 miles) and beginning of project. Project consists of various types of watershed improvements on Road Nos. 244, 279, 279L, 9405, 9405B, 9405C, 9408 and Spur A, including removing and installing culverts, 8 and Spur A, includinhauling borrow material, hauling and placing pit run and crushed aggregate, excavating, loading, hauling and disposing of unsuitable material, reconditioning roadbed, recontouring draws, road obliteration, constructing cross drains, driveable dips, cleaning culverts and catch basins, cleaning ditches and seeding and fertilizing all disturbed areas and hand spreading straw mulch. Pre-bid tour is scheduled for July 22, 1997 to begin at the Supervisor's Office at Grangeville at 9:00 a.m. Estimated start work is September 2, 1997.
