Hooper, 202-283-1183 The Internal Revenue Service intends to award a purchase order on a non competitive basis to Motorola, Inc. for the Astro-Tac 3000 Comparator. It is the key component in a Project 25 compliant multicast voting system. It is compatible with Motorola stations and receivers designed to meet Project 25, as well as the Motorola Digital Interface Units (DIUs) and Centracom Series Gold Console included in the system design. The Astro-Tac 3000 Comparator utilizes sophisticated voting algorithms to enhance received audio quality from Digital IMBE signals or clear (non-encrypted) analog signals in weak areas by selecting and mixing inputs from multiple receivers. The enhanced signal is then sent out to the repeaters for broadcasting over the air. This ensures that messages transmitted from users reach all parties in their group across the coverage area of the system. The Astro-Tac 3000 supports both narrowband (12.5 Khz) and wideband (25/30 Khz) system operation.
