FOR THE MARITIME MOBILE SERVICE OPERATING IN THE VHF BANDS -- TECHNICAL
CHARACTERISTICS AND METHODS OF MEASUREMENT The following notification
is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6.

Very High Frequency (VHF) transmitters and receivers for use on board
ships and operating in the frequency bands between 156 MHz and 174 MHz
allocated to the maritime mobile service by the ITU Radio Regulations.

Maritime Mobile Service Operating in the VHF Bands -- Technical

Description of content: To establish the technical performance of VHF
transmitters and receivers for use on board ships and operating in the
frequency bands between 156 MHz and 174 MHz allocated to the maritime
mobile service by the ITU Radio Regulations. 7. Objective and
rationale: The aim of the standard is to ensure efficient use of the
156 MHz to 174 MHz maritime mobile band. 8. Relevant documents: The
