Existing Halon 1301 shall be dismantled and new delayed water sprinkler systems installed. Three existing Halon 1301 systems shall be abandoned and ten Halon 1301 systems shall be replaced with new water systems to include the following buildings: Bldg. 112, Bldg. 121, Bldg. 625 generator room, Bldg. 625 oil tank room, Bldg. 1391, Bldg. 1824 ARTS antenna, Bldg. 1824 switchgear and UPS room, Bldg. 4002 communication room, Bldg. 4002 ADP room, Bldg 4002 SSups room. The aforementioned facilities must be replaced in order to comply with Air Force Environmental Ozone Depleting Chemicals Policies. The award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. Magnitude: $250,000 -- $500,000. The anticipated performance period is between June 1998 through 30 Sep 1998. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered. The summer at Thule Air Base is extremely short and shipment of materials can only take palce in June/July. Special Note: All dicussion leading to contract award shall take place at the Contracting Office located in the Embassy of the United States of America, Copenhagen, Denmark. All parties responding to this synopsis and any costs incurred as a result of subsequent discussions prior to award of contract are the sole responsibility of the interested parties.
