(202) 426-0089 The contractor will provide reularly scheduled bus
services and unscheduled bus services for the Department of Energy
(DOE). The bus services will include the route running between DOE
facilities in Germantown, Maryland and Washington, D.C. These services
will be provided on a daily regular schedule. This service requires
that the contractor provide two buses and a back-up bus. All buses for
scheduled service must have a minimum of capacity of 35 passengers or
45-48 passenger bus with tag axle/boogie wheel. All buses must be
equipped with a lavatory. The buses to be used under this contract must
be no older than three years from the date of manufacture during the
term of the contract. The Statement of Work will require on-call
unscheduled bus service for buses with a capacity of 45-48 passengers.
The period of performance for this acquisition will be for three
years, this includes a two-one year base period and four one year
options. The solicitation will be a Request For Proposals (RFP) and is
Set-Aside for small business firms. The Standard Industrial Code for
this acquisition is 4141 with a size standard of $5.0 million in
average annual receipts over the last three years. Offerors will be
required to make an oral presentation of their capabilities based on
the evaluation criteria. Offerors will also be required to demonstrate
their capability to provide scheduled and unscheduled equipment and
present the equipment at the DOE Germantown, Maryland facility for
inspection. Copies of the solicitation will only be available by
downloading from the Internet from the "Current Business Opportunities
at Headquarters Procurement Services" home page located at address
http://www.pr.doe.gov/solicit.html. No paper copies of the solicitation
will be made available. Prospective offerors that do not have the
electronic capability to download the solicitation shall submit a
written request (NO FAX) to the Document Control Specialist (HR-543)
for a diskette (Contractor Provided) copy of the solicitation. The
requestor must include a self-addressed stamped envelope and MS-DOS
formatted high density 3 1/2" virus free diskette suitable for download
of the electronic solicitation. Offerors who fail to submit an
appropriate diskette, or self-addressed stamped envelope, will not
receive the solicitation. It is the responsibility of prospective
offerors, after receipt of solicitation, to notify the Document Control
Specialist of their intent to propose. Without such notification,
prospective offerors will not be informed when admendments and other
solicitation-related information is posted on the Internet. See
