17 -- VIDEO MAPPER REPLACEMENT UNITS SOL N00019-97-R-0043 POC Contact, Mr. Lynn Oakes, Phone (703)604-2968 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure functional replacement Video Mappers to replace the FA-8970 Video Mapper currently deployed at Navy and Marine Corps Air Stations. The replacement Video Mappers will interface with current air surveillance radars/IFF systems/indicators in use by Navy and USMC Air Traffic Control Facilities. It is anticipated that commercial units will be procured to replace the FA-8970 Video Mapper. In addition to the Video Mappers, the contractor will provide Remote Control Units, Installation and Checkout Spares, System Software, Training, and associated data. The solicitation, N00019-97-R-0043, will contain a base year plus two options estimated at 38 total Video Mapper Replacement Units.
