Additional sources are being sought for companies who are interested in becoming qualified suppliers for a Hybrid Low Noise FET Amplifier used on the Airborne Radar Receiver of the F-16, AN/APG-68 Radar system. The intent is to allow a contractor the freedom to manufacture the subject amplifier using current technology and design that might not be a virtual copy of the original as long as it still functions properly in the intended application, including environmental and storage requirements. The part number of the amplifier is 585R600H05, designed by Westinghouse Corp. (CAGE 97942). We have been purchasing this item from Westinghouse (Northrop-Gruman) (CAGE 18323) and Amplica Inc. (CAGE 51025). We are only seeking companies who have the capability to manufacture low level, low noise, X-band radio frequency amplifiers and are interested in becoming additional sources of supply.
